Spring Migration

After a few hints of spring there was quite a delay until migration got underway.

The spring influx of Wrynecks to the south west included c3 Wrynecks on the Lizard so far

Good numbers of Sandwich Tern arrived a little later than normal but are a feature of the bays the last few days.

The spring influx of Hoopoe to Scilly, West Cornwall and Ireland has not been so pronounced, but hopefully a few more to come.
No spring post would be complete without a Wheatear....

Great to see some spring 'classics' on the move- seems a sluggish spring so far further North and I'm eagerly anticipating my first swallow!
