High Pressure
Recent high pressure has been good for bird movements including a Hoopoe from the south, Red kite- tagged birds seem to indicate that the now annual spring influx are birds on weekend breaks and holiday from central southern England populations , and Hooded Crow? A west coast wandering bird from Ireland or Scotland? Or Arctic Scandinavian migrant?
Marsh harrier as usually migrants but this bird has been present locally since last Autumn.
